Ett ögonblick...
Japansk trädgård i Texas…

The National Museum of the Pacific War.

The Garden of Peace is a gift to the people of the United States from the people of Japan with prayers for everlasting world peace through the goodwill of our two nations, symbolized by the friendship and respect that existed between Admiral Togo and Admiral Nimitz.”

………………………………………………………………………………………

Currently, I have been thinking a lot about Japan, as I am sure many other have as well. Because of that, I decided to share something beautiful and Japanese inspired here on the blog.

The words Japanese and Texas are not seen in the same context so often. Most people would probably think that it sounds completely wrong to have a Japanese garden in Texas, but not me. You might agree with me after you the photos below.

Last time I was in the US I visited a small town called Fredericksburg. I was there with my mother for a girl’s weekend, you know, shopping, staying at a bed & breakfast. Such a cozy little town! I find it much unexpected that in this small town, of all the places in the US, there is The National Museum of the Pacific War. At the museum they have a wonderful Japanese garden that was a gift from Japan. I found this on the website

The Garden of Peace is a gift to the people of the United States from the people of Japan with prayers for everlasting world peace through the goodwill of our two nations, symbolized by the friendship and respect that existed between Admiral Togo and Admiral Nimitz.”

It was a little garden, but with a large amount of impact. What do you think?
